Modular Set Before I start modeling I break down the scene into parts: single architecture piece, modular architecture pieces, small asset. Which give me a clearer vision of what I need in the scene.
Textures Some textures were done in Substance Designer where I created parameters to adjust how it looks.
Materials As for some of the materials I used tessellation and height map to bump up the brick. Since the texture was tileable , I could just place the floor next to each other to create a larger space and use vertex painting to break the repeated pattern.
Lighting For lighting I have two different lighting for two separate levels , one for day time and one for night time. In this way we can easily switch and see how it looks in each level.
Mood board I got inspired from noodle restaurant scene in Kung Fu Panda, where there are walls stack up for each sides. So I gather references and create the scene that I have in my mind.
